The Nest Out of Schools Club

With over 10 years experience in out of schools, the Nest is the only provider of its type in the area. Qualified and committed staff provide opportunities and experiences designed around the child to stimulate physical, social, intellectual and emotional development. Activities include arts, crafts, physical play (indoor and outdoor), dance, cooking and education through play. The Nest is open from 2.00pm to 6.00pm on school days and 8.00am to 6.00pm during school holidays. A bus service is provided to collect children from local schools.

Places available from September 2013 for children age 4 – 11 years.  £8 per afternoon session for first child and £6.50 for second – includes school pick up and nutritious snack.  Please give Sandra or Rachel a call on 71 338 385 to find out more or call in to see the facilities.

Little Diamonds Community Playgroup

Little Diamonds has over 20 years experience in pre-school provision for children and operates Monday to Friday during term time from 9.30am to 12 noon. All staff are friendly, caring and qualified practitioners. The Playgroup provides a vital link towards primary school and gives children numerous development opportunities through play, indoor and outdoor.

Parent & Toddler Group

The Parent & Toddler group provides great development opportunities for children and social opportunities for parents in a relaxed informal atmosphere at minimal cost. It is the ideal place to meet other families with pre-school children and provide you with the chance to talk to others about the joys and anxieties of bringing up children.

Open sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10.00 – 12.00 in the log cabin at the Diamond Centre.  £1 per child and £1 per adult.  Snack provided.  Call down anytime to join in.

Jo Jingles sessions are on Monday mornings  at 10.30am at the Diamond Centre. Cost is £10 per child for four sessions. Give Julie a call on 71338005 to book in.

Sweet Project

A free, fun and educational 10 week programme for 2 year olds and their parents.  Focus is on healthy nutrition and play and exercise ideas. Funded by Public Health Agency and delivered by The Old Library Trust Healthy Living Centre, It’s a great way to get fitter, healthier and happier as a family!  Fully booked this time round but if you would be interested in the future, please let Julie know at the centre.
